Five Momentous Occasions

Atlanta saw a "white" Christmas for the first time since 1882.

Soren was underwhelmed. That damn hat again.

Shirley turned 50!

Eric and Betsy got out to a party :)
Happy Birthday, Lindsay!

The little guy took his first pee on the big toilet. Yaaay!

Soren also took his first two steps!

***

This picture is not of said feat, however, this FACE is approximately the look he had
while attempting to RUN away from Mom while being scolded for pretending to play in the fireplace.
We haven't seen any independent steps since, but feel he simply lacks the proper motivation.
It is not fear of Mom, but rather, the thrill of the chase that lead him to find balance
between a rather large rump and a hardy middle.

Baby's First Christmas

Chistmas Eve

Christmas morning

Bob-Bob's favorite gift: the bear named "Thunder"

Soren's favorite toy, the bow. No name.

Lots of fun new balls. We might die stepping on them.

Soren will not die eating them.

Lots of new books!

All edible too!

Second round of catch up...

Aunt Angie came to visit and was a big supporter of the paper bag toy.
Soren was in heaven.

Uncle Peter supported the water bottle toy and life was good for the little man.

Close up. Like a big fish in a little pond.

Ham-bone.

There's the bed-head that has been months in the works...come'on little hairs, we know you can do it!

We are already afraid of his teen-years; thinks he's Dr. Love.

Couldn't resist this fuzzy faded shot of the street-watchers.
Think it could have been stolen out of a 1970's photo album.

Star-struck after an evening romp in the hamper.

Can't quite remove all the whiskers...poor girl,
Una sticks around for the free food but it is a rough life.

Another favorite activity with Dad;
checking the mail. And then eating it.

Thanks to Auntie Lexis for a fantastically classic rocking horse.
We named him Charlie but we'll see if it sticks.

Tried to give him a mohawk...still waiting for more hair to make it seem official.

Doodle-bug has something up his sleeve.
Always.

So basically, we will try to catch y'all up...

Baby likes his swing.

Baby is a little crazy about his swing!

He really cannot get enough of the outdoors...and of course mom and dad have given up
on their definition of "dirty" (not that it was too strict to begin with)!

Soren likes to get into trouble...especially when it comes to escaping.

One of his new favorite activities is blowing leaves with dad. Fun.

Leaves, in general, are one of his favorite toys.

Oh right: Halloween.
So, if any of you remember the Garbage Pail Kids - look up "Spikey Mikey," it was the inspiration for this first costume, which turned out to be more like a backwards Stegasaurus.
But we still made him wear it all day because why not?

"Oh, hey, Dad."

"Oh, hey, Family."

We thought Soren's head fit in nicely with this patch of large and oddly shaped pumpkins.

Pretty cute.

Oh, yes, and there were lots of wood chips, which hold a second string to leaves but are almost just as good.

Did we mention getting into trouble?
His taste in music has become...questionable...

...we can only blame Uncle Kyle.

Waelo has definitely decided that he is okay, now that he has figured out how to play ball.

"Mom, I hate this damn hat."
"But it is so cute!"

Second favorite activity: doing dishes.
We are counting the days till it becomes something he can do all on his own!

Again with this trouble thing...and so often without pants.

That's a wrap.
