Second round of catch up...

Aunt Angie came to visit and was a big supporter of the paper bag toy.
Soren was in heaven.

Uncle Peter supported the water bottle toy and life was good for the little man.

Close up. Like a big fish in a little pond.

Ham-bone.

There's the bed-head that has been months in the works...come'on little hairs, we know you can do it!

We are already afraid of his teen-years; thinks he's Dr. Love.

Couldn't resist this fuzzy faded shot of the street-watchers.
Think it could have been stolen out of a 1970's photo album.

Star-struck after an evening romp in the hamper.

Can't quite remove all the whiskers...poor girl,
Una sticks around for the free food but it is a rough life.

Another favorite activity with Dad;
checking the mail. And then eating it.

Thanks to Auntie Lexis for a fantastically classic rocking horse.
We named him Charlie but we'll see if it sticks.

Tried to give him a mohawk...still waiting for more hair to make it seem official.

Doodle-bug has something up his sleeve.
Always.

So basically, we will try to catch y'all up...

Baby likes his swing.

Baby is a little crazy about his swing!

He really cannot get enough of the outdoors...and of course mom and dad have given up
on their definition of "dirty" (not that it was too strict to begin with)!

Soren likes to get into trouble...especially when it comes to escaping.

One of his new favorite activities is blowing leaves with dad. Fun.

Leaves, in general, are one of his favorite toys.

Oh right: Halloween.
So, if any of you remember the Garbage Pail Kids - look up "Spikey Mikey," it was the inspiration for this first costume, which turned out to be more like a backwards Stegasaurus.
But we still made him wear it all day because why not?

"Oh, hey, Dad."

"Oh, hey, Family."

We thought Soren's head fit in nicely with this patch of large and oddly shaped pumpkins.

Pretty cute.

Oh, yes, and there were lots of wood chips, which hold a second string to leaves but are almost just as good.

Did we mention getting into trouble?
His taste in music has become...questionable...

...we can only blame Uncle Kyle.

Waelo has definitely decided that he is okay, now that he has figured out how to play ball.

"Mom, I hate this damn hat."
"But it is so cute!"

Second favorite activity: doing dishes.
We are counting the days till it becomes something he can do all on his own!

Again with this trouble thing...and so often without pants.

That's a wrap.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

After my first MARTA ride,
my first road trip,
and my first NYC cab ride,
I think I've got this traveling thing down.
And I think I like it!

Soren's First Plane Trip (And Vacation)

I was a little fuss-pot-pill-pants before leaving on the trip
so Bob-Bob had to hold me a lot.

I was awesome on the plane and got picked up by my other
grandpa, Papa.
Too cool for my airplane shirt.
A little crazy for furry feet.
"What, I wasn't doing anything"
(Who said that, the kid or the dog?)
Papa read lots of entries from his journal.
We got to see Ellie and Grace...more fun and reading.
Papa taught me all about maple trees and helicopter seeds.
Mormor introduced the music.
Loud toys are fun.
Swings are also fun.
Dancing with Mormor is fun too.
Had to do a little bit of chillaxin'...
A little bit of bathing...
A little bit more chillaxin'...
Basically on my trip I had such a whale of a time that I -
-grew straight out of my jammies!

Soren's First Kiss

Hanging out with my friend, Una.
She thinks I look good and smell tasty.
So she leans in to test the waters...
And I give in!
We are both a little embarrassed, but still friends.

Soren's First Spoon-Feeding

Soren was not sure what to do with the spoon-thing.
Tried to eat the spoon AND the hand.

Ended up having to get our own spoon...he got a fair amount of cereal after that.

Then it was on to the bowl!
